Brandy cocktails you should know

Suffering Bastard

1/2 oz lime juice
1⁄2 oz ginger syrup
1⁄2 oz lime cordial
1 oz gin
1 oz Brandy Sainte Louise

Combine ingredients (except for soda) in a shaking tin, add 1 piece of ice and gently shake to chill and dilute, strain and serve in a tumbler glass filled with ice. Top with soda and garnish with an orange slice and mint. If lime cordial is not available, substite for 1/4 oz simple syrup and increase lime juice to 3/4 oz. If ginger syrup is not available, substitute for 1/4 oz simple syrup and use ginger beer instead of soda.
