Brandy cocktails you should know
1 dash Angostura bitters
1/2 tsp aged balsamic vinegar
1/4 oz cinnamon syrup (see instructions below)
3/4 oz lemon juice
3/4 oz elderflower liqueur
2 oz Brandy Sainte Louise
Gently muddle 1 strawberry in the bottom of a shaking tin, add the rest of the ingredients and 1 piece of ice and shake until chilled and diluted, double strain and serve in a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with half a strawberry.

Cinnamon Syrup: In a saucepan combine finely broken cinnamon sticks, 2 cups of water, 2 cups of superfine sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, then lower heat, cover, and simmer for 4 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand overnight before straining through a cheesecloth-lined sieve.
